This role involves providing advanced technical coordination and leadership for the development, testing, and implementation of mainframe batch processing systems. The Systems Administrator/Operations Support will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mission-critical systems, providing technical support to clients, and leading a team of analysts. This includes managing schedules, resolving incidents, implementing changes, and automating processes within a large enterprise environment. The position requires extensive experience with mainframe technologies and utilities, along with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical coordination for the development, testing, and implementation of JCL, updates to job schedules (CA-7), reporting tools, and other support for online and batch processing.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (incident, change, and release management) for multi-processing, multi-image computer services.
- Provide advanced technical support to clients on all scheduling, testing, and implementation activities for 7/24 mission-critical systems.
- Provide group leadership and technical guidance/training to a team of analysts.
- Lead the analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and resolution of complex scheduling, batch, and online processing incidents/problems.
- Develop performance measures and standards for production control team members.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of changes/releases.
- Identify root causes of incidents and develop/implement solutions to restore service.
- Provide support for new software release implementation (testing, scheduling, results gathering).
- Manage and coordinate the maintenance of an operational environment for automated 3rd party interface file transfer and file transfer scheduling.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 10+ years' experience providing oversight to support mainframe batch processing in a large enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of mainframe utilities (TSO/ISPF, JCL, FTP) and desktop software (PKI, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet applications).
- Advanced knowledge of database software (DB2, IMS, CICS).
- Advanced knowledge of automated scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7).
- Understanding of client scheduling processes and their linkages to batch and online applications (IMS, DB2).
- Knowledge of printing tools (e.g., View and Deliver).
- Experience with application recovery procedures.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience with procedures and operational documentation.
- Experience in change management activities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with project management in a large-scale mainframe environment.
- Experience with migrations and tool implementations.
Special Considerations:
- On-call support may be required to support daily operations and release and change implementations.
